Cult cinematic platformer Another World lands on PlayStation platforms next weekWritten by: / / 2 Comments
If you’re a fan of cinematic platformers such as Abe’s Oddysee and Heart of Darkness then you may have heard of Eric Chahi’s cult classic Another World originally released for the Amiga and Atari ST in 1991. The game has now been ported to the PS4, PS3 and PS Vita, and will be released via the PlayStation Store on June 24th in North America and June 25th in PAL territories featuring Cross-Buy and Cross-Save support.
Another World tells the story of a young scientist named Lester who finds himself on a dangerous planet after an experiment goes awry. Lester will have to use a combination of his wits and basic platformer actions such as running, jumping and shooting to survive in this hostile domain.
The PlayStation ports of Another World feature refined animations as well as full HD resolution on PS4 and PS3 to achieve cleaner-looking and more vibrant backgrounds. Furthermore, players can choose between the original or cinematic Sega-CD soundtrack whilst playing the game.
