Angry Birds Transformers is no longer in disguise, and coming soonWritten by: / / 3 Comments
Two of the world’s largest and most recognisable entertainment brands will collide later this year with the release of Angry Birds Transformers, which developer Rovio says is coming to App Stores “soon.”
While the only officially official news we can go on is this static screen on the Angry Birds website, Family Gamer TV has dug into some clues surrounding the game revealing that it features the exploits of the AutoBirds and DeceptiHogs, but there’s a question over whether or not the game will make use of the familiar slingshot-based physics puzzle gameplay we’ve come to expect from the Angry Birds franchise.
Reports doing the rounds point to Angry Birds Transformers being the follow-up to Rovio’s kart racing game, Angry Birds Go, only this time featuring Transformers characters styled after the vengeful birds and dastardly pigs. A tie-in with Telepod toys-to-life technology (similar to Skylanders and Disney Infinity) is also expected, with toys based on the characters going on sale later this year.
Angry Birds Transformers is reportedly out in September this year on mobile devices, but Rovio will be revealing more information in the coming weeks. In the meantime, watch Family Gamer TV’s dissection of the rumours, leaks and clues below:
