E3 2014: Can golf bloom on the Battlefield? Bonkers EA Sports PGA Tour trailer says yesWritten by: / / No Comments
Metal Gear Solid may have answered whether or not love could bloom on the battlefield, but the question remains over whether or not pro players can have a good round of golf on the Battlefield.
If you’re playing EA Sports PGA Tour with all of the limits removed, it looks like golf can be played just about anywhere.
Due out in the ‘Spring’ of 2015 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, EA Sports PGA Tour makes use of DICE’s powerful Frostbite 3 technology (which also powers the latest iterations of Battlefield) to help the developers virtually recreate some of the world’s most iconic real-world golf courses, mixed in with a healthy collection of fantasy themed courses, too, each with their own unique challenges.
Moving from from hole to hole on the courses is also said to be free of load times, “allowing you to move seamlessly from one green to the next tee without breaking immersion,” says EA.
See just one of the (bonkers) fantasy courses in the debut trailer for EA Sports PGA Tour below, and get a closer look with the first screenshots, too:
