E3 2014: Super Smash Bros. 3DS delayed to October, out on Wii U this ‘Holiday’

Unfortunate news out of E3 2014 for Super Smash Bros. fans came in the form of a delay for the 3DS version of the game from August until October 3rd, while the Wii U version of the Nintendo character fighter will be out this ‘Holiday,’ apparently unaffected by the 3DS delay.

Nintendo tried to make up for the news with all-new screenshots and a pretty terrific anime-esque trailer to announce a new character, and you’ll also be able to use your Mii and equip them in different ways so they’re up to the task of facing down heavy hitters like Link, Mario and the Wii Fit instructor – enjoy below:
