Sony’s E3 2014 press conference ended with a more than suitable showstopper with the debut trailer for Uncharted 4 on PlayStation 4, a monstrous showcase of what developer Naughty Dog will be delivering to series fans in 2015.
As has become widely known to the fans, Naughty Dog’s Bruce Straley and Neil Druckmann will serve as game directors on Uncharted 4, and after stewarding the creation of Uncharted 2 and The Last of Us in the same roles, we can expect the studio’s exceptionally high standards for quality, gameplay and storytelling to carry through to the new action adventure game.
What lessons will the game directors bring with them from their previous projects, what new technologies will we see in Uncharted 4, and how will the ‘freedom’ of creating another roller-coaster Uncharted game be different to the constraints of The Last of Us?
