XBlaze Code: Embryo developer diary talks connected worlds and sci-fi sensibilitiesWritten by: / / No Comments
Aksys Games has released the debut developer diary for its upcoming visual novel XBlaze Code: Embryo that takes its cues from the world of BlazBlue. Taking place 150 years before the events of BlazBlue, the game tells the story of a high school sophomore named Touya Kagari and his transformation from an unremarkable teenager to a key cog in a widescale tussle for control over the power responsible for the creation of the universe.
In the video below writer and executive producer Toshimichi Mori reveals how the worlds of XBlaze Code: Embryo and BlazBlue are connected by a “time axis” and how fans of Arc System Works’ fighting series can expect similar terminology and sci-fi themes in this imminent adventure title.
XBlaze Code: Embryo will be released for PS3 and PS Vita on June 24th in North America. A lengthy demo for the game is currently available to download from the US PlayStation Store. Head over here for El33tonline’s previous coverage of this stylish visual novel for more details.
