If you’ve been wondering how Just Add Water’s upcoming remake Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty compares to the original Abe’s Oddysee then don’t miss the following batch of comparison screens that have trickled out of the Oddworld Blog over the past few weeks.
The screens cover the first few areas in the game including RuptureFarms, Stockyards and Paramonia. The comparison images reveal that minor details have been added or changed such as the design of the doorway in the first screenshot. Real-time lighting has been added to give an extra sense of depth to each environment and of course everything is now rendered in-game as opposed to the pre-rendered graphics of the original. It’s still unclear whether or not you can manually change the camera angle in the final version of Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty as some of these screens clearly feature an off-centre camera view.
