First concept image for next Hitman game arrives with new detailsWritten by: / / 6 Comments
Earlier this year, developer IO Interactive revealed the first glimmer of details on the team’s next stealth action Hitman game, going so far as to talk about specific gameplay features and things we can and should not expect in the new-gen exclusive title.
Today, IO has sent out the very first piece of public concept art for the next Hitman, along with a few more grains of insight into the game. First thing’s first: Here’s that art (click to enlarge):
Posting on the official Hitman site, IO wrote:
“[...] we’re making great progress with building exotic and expansive locations for the new game. To give you an idea of what we’re aiming for, here’s the first piece of concept art from the game.
“This location is set in Central Europe and you’ll be able to explore the entire building you see in the image, inside and out. For a sense of scale, the building on its own is larger than any location in Hitman Absolution.”
If you’re waiting to see more of the next Hitman game at E3 2014 next month, then IO has some disappointing news, saying that “our next Hitman is going to be under wraps for a bit longer,” and the team is “focusing all of our time and efforts into creating the best possible Hitman game. That’s our number one priority and we don’t want to divert valuable resources to show something before it’s ready.”
A good reason, but it would certainly be great to see what the team is cooking up sooner rather than later.
What do you hope to see out of the next Hitman?
