H33rsay: PS4-exclusive The Order: 1886 delayed to February 2015Written by: / / 4 Comments
H33rsay is El33tonline’s round-up of game industry rumours and speculation where we have looks at unconfirmed and unannounced pieces of news emerging from anonymous tipsters, information leaks and generally dubious sources. It may not all be true, but it’s still fun to talk about!
The Order: 1886 delayed to 2015? That’s the word currently doing the rounds on Twitter following a recent press preview for Ready at Dawn’s PlayStation 4 exclusive action adventure game.
The delay was first outed by a fellow on Twitter pointing to a source at European game magazine, Gamereactor, writing:
The Order 1886 is indeed delayed and release is now set for February i've been told by someone who works for Gamereactor.

This was then followed up by Twitter user shinobi602, who has become known as something of a leaker of high profile videogame information, who wrote:
Well, looks like the cat's out of the bag. Yea, The Order's coming in February. Sorry guys :-/

Why should we believe the Twitter mutterings of two semi-random unofficial sources of information? The timing of the reports is curious, with an embargo on The Order: 1886 previews lifting later today, May 27th, so if the game’s delay is true we’ll find out this afternoon.
What’s the likelihood of The Order: 1886 being delayed into 2015, past its original launch window of 2014? Do you think it’s better if it’s pushed out of the traditionally busy holiday period or will the PlayStation 4 be hurting for exclusive games?
While we wait for the previews today, be sure to look over El33tonline’s already extensive coverage of the exciting Victorian era sci-fi action game, with previews, screenshots and videos of our own.
