Hyrule Warriors gets first batch of Link-laden screenshots with Japanese release dateWritten by: / / 4 Comments
Tecmo Koei has released the first official images and details for the publisher’s hack and slash collaboration with Nintendo, Hyrule Warriors, following on from a Japanese release date announcement this week.
Due for release on August 14th in Japan exclusively on the Wii U, Hyrule Warriors (or Zelda Musō in Japan) is currently in development at Omega Force (Dynasty Warriors) in collaboration with Team Ninja (Dead or Alive, Ninja Gaiden), overseen by The Legend of Zelda series steward Eiji Aonuma.
The game is an action oriented spin-off from The Legend of Zelda, but is set in the same world and stars Link, amongst other characters including Impa, who must once again rescue Princess Zelda, this time from the clutches of an evil witch by the name of ‘Shia.’
In addition, Hyrule Warriors features a two-player mode that will make use of the Wii U GamePad and a TV screen, as well as chances to upgrade your weapons and characters, with different equipped weapons affecting the way those characters fight.
