LittleBigPlanet PS Vita developer announces new IP HungerWritten by: / / 1 Comment
LittleBigPlanet PS Vita developer Tarsier Studios has announced that it was recently awarded $91 737 in development support from the Nordic Game Program for its new IP ‘Hunger’ (working title). This pledge of support was made during the Nordic Game Conference which runs from May 21st to May 23rd in Malmö, Sweden.
“This is not only a huge vote of confidence from the Nordic Game Program expert group,” said CEO Ola Holmdahl. “The grant enables us to explore an idea we are deeply passionate about. Hunger holds fantastic potential, and our job now is to harness that promise into a great experience.”
The developer notes on its blog that Hunger is a third-person 3D action adventure game with stealth and exploration elements. The post continues:
“A nine-year old girl named Six is kidnapped from her home and taken to work in The Maw – a surreal underwater resort catering to the whims of the powerful elite. When an unexpected twist of fate offers her a chance at freedom, Six takes a journey through the bizarre and unpredictable world of The Maw, and catches a glimpse at the corrupt heart of modern happiness.”
Tarsier has confirmed that is aims to make Hunger a downloadable title for PS4 so it’s likely that we’ll see it shown during future Sony press conferences once the studio has a playable build up and running.
