Todd Howard: “It’s going to be a little while” before we hear about Bethesda’s next gameWritten by: / / 2 Comments
Yesterday, Bethesda Studios’ Todd Howard received the ‘LARA of Honor’ award at the LARA videogame awards ceremony in Germany.
The event took place in Munich, and Howard’s award in particular recognised the veteran’s contributions to the industry, following in the footsteps of similar legends including Ralph H Baer, Allan Alcorn, Alexej Pajitnov, Nolan Bushnell, Yves Guillemot, Will Wright and Richard Garriott – a great honour, to be sure.
Following the ceremony, however, consumer site PCGames.de interviewed Todd Howard to chat about the award, and even got him to speak a little bit about Bethesda’s next game – widely believed to be Fallout 4.
If you were expecting an announcement of Bethesda’s next game at E3 2014 next month, however, Howard might have some bad news for you. Related to the next game from Bethesda, and during the interview, Howard said:
“We’re working on something, have been for a while. And it’s going to be a little while before we talk about it, we want to surprise everybody, and make that moment where we talk about it special for everybody. We’re still tinkering.
“But, we’re really excited about it. The stuff we’re able to do now on the PCs and the next-gen systems with all that memory… we’re very, very excited about all of the opportunities.”
Do you think the Bethesda’s next game is Fallout 4? A new Elder Scrolls game? Or something completely new?
