Watch Dogs goes gold, stylish CGI trailer sets the sceneWritten by: / / 3 Comments
Ubisoft has announced that its upcoming open-world game Watch Dogs has finally gone gold after an intensive five-and-a-half-year development cycle. The game was originally scheduled to launch last November but was delayed in order to fine-tune some of its central gameplay mechanics such as the ability to hack into a wide variety of electronic devices.
“It’s exciting to be gold,” said Creative Director Jonathan Morin. “But it’ll be more exciting when people are playing. For the fans it means that it’s true. It means there will be no such thing as another delay. But for us, it’s not done until they actually have it in their hands.”
Ubisoft also aired a new TV spot for the PS4 version of Watch Dogs featuring some incredible CGI visuals and stylish directing. Check it out below:
Watch Dogs will be released on May 27th across PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC. A Wii U version is also in development. Head over here for El33tonline’s previous coverage of this ambitious new IP from Ubisoft.
