El33tonline Question of the Day

The roots of local (i.e. in the same room) multiplayer games stretch way back to the arcade days with classics like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Simpsons, NBA Jam, Final Fight and Street Fighter, and made the jump to the console era with hectic sessions of Bomberman, Mario Kart and many, many more.

More recently, the local multiplayer scene has risen to prominence with games like Nidhogg, Towerfall and Samurai Gunn, and this week will get another very big boost with Sportsfriends on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 (find out what you need to know about Sportsfriends over here).

What local multiplayer games have you played the most over the years, and which modern-day couch co-op games have you played and enjoyed – any recommendations?
