Ubisoft now “fully focused” on Watch Dogs for Wii UWritten by: / / No Comments
Watch Dogs will be out later this month for numerous platforms but Wii U owners will have to wait a little while longer before they can get their hands on this highly anticipated open-world adventure. This is due to the fact that around the same time as the game was delayed last October many of the programmers working on the Wii U port were given the task of helping out with writing code for the base version of Watch Dogs and thus the port was put on hold.
While the Wii U version of Watch Dogs is still without a release date, the game’s creative director Jonathan Morin recently told Redbull Games that the original team members tasked with porting the game to Nintendo’s console have now returned to the project in their full capacity:
“Right now [the Wii U version is] currently being done, but I’m not directly involved. We wanted to finish all the platforms that we are currently shipping. We needed those guys to get [the shipping versions] finished, and the good news now is that they’re all fully focused on the Wii U version, making sure it gets the attention it deserves to make it the best version it can be.”
Watch Dogs will be released on May 27th across PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC. Head over here for El33tonline’s previous coverage of this ambitious new IP from Ubisoft.
