New Project CARS screens showcase PS4 versionWritten by: / / 3 Comments
Slightly Mad Studios has released the first batch of screenshots for the PS4 version of its upcoming racing title Project CARS. According to the developer, these screens represent actual in-game visuals and were captured simply by pausing the game during gameplay and taking a screenshot.
To achieve this incredible level of realism the developer sought help from a “community of passionate and dedicated players” and paid attention to recreating the smallest details “down to the screws that hold [a car's] suspension system together”.
The team also took thousands of reference photos, recorded height information and performed laser scans to ensure that the tracks in Project CARS are the closest to the real thing as possible.
The game will also be one of the first PS4 titles to support virtual reality via the Project Morpheus headset although it’s unlikely that the game’s visuals will be this sharp when played in VR mode.
Here are the new screens:
Project CARS will be released for PC, PS4, Xbox One and Wii U sometime during November. Head over here for El33tonline’s previous coverage of this promising racing simulator.
