These are the questions being asked in a documentary short leading up to the anticipated Call of Duty 2014 trailer on Sunday, May 4th.
“In the last 20 years, global combat has seen a steady shift towards the use of private military corporations, or PMCs,” the video description reads. “What happens when the highest bidder becomes the world’s next superpower?”
In the short below, called ‘Superpower For Hire,’ we get to hear from Blackwater founder Erik Prince and a number of specialists on the subject of PMCs, with all kinds of statistics and proclamations presented as fact to paint a very scary picture about the role, size and potential of these military organisations in the future:
