Rugby-15-announced

Rugby World Cup 2011 developer HB Studios has announced that it’s working on a new game called Rugby 15 due for release this autumn. This upcoming sports title is being developed for PS4, PS3, PS Vita, PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, and is “aiming to become the new standard for rugby games”.

The game will include the official licences for the TOP 14 and PRO D2 professional French rugby leagues as well as teams from the 2014/2015 season.

Alain Falc, CEO of publisher Bigben Interactive, had this message to go along with the announcement of Rugby 15:

“With this new sport simulation we are pursuing our strategy of moving upmarket with strong licences and quality partnerships, as with HB Studios. Today it gives us great pleasure to announce the very first rugby game on new generation consoles with the TOP 14 and the PRO D2, thanks to the support of the Ligue Nationale de Rugby (French Rugby Association). We are certain that fans of the sport will enjoy it!”

No further information is currently available for Rugby 15 and we have yet to see any screenshots or trailers showing the game in action. We’ll bring you more details on Rugby 15 as they come to light.
