Naughty Dog lead artist departs as Uncharted PS4 actor signs up for Visceral’s Star Wars gameWritten by: / / 2 Comments
The departure of Naughty Dog’s Amy Hennig earlier this year has opened a small floodgate at the studio as more developers and talent slip out of the building, one by one.
After Hennig landed a leading creative position at Visceral on the developer’s upcoming Star Wars game, it was revealed that the director of Uncharted 3 and Uncharted PS4, Justin Richmond, also left Naughty Dog for a job at League of Legends developer Riot Games.
More recently, lead artist Nate Wells (who joined the team after wrapping up work on Bioshock Infinite at Irrational to contribute to The Last of Us) has also announced that he has left Naughty Dog to join Giant Sparrow (Unfinished Swan), confirming the news on Twitter:
Hmmm….seem to be some threads here. Yes, I joined the wild, wacky, and ultimately brilliant folks at #GiantSparrow on April 3rd.

To add to the list of talent moving on from an association with Naughty Dog we’ve got Todd Stashwick, the voice heard in the Uncharted PS4 teaser trailer. According to a statement sent to IGN, Stashwick says that “They chose to recast my role,” referring to the villain that he was cast to play in Uncharted PS4. In a twist of fate, Stashwick has since been hired to work with Amy Hennig on Visceral’s Star Wars game.
What do you make of the recent high profile movements at Naughty Dog? Just a coincidence?
