GRID Autosport announced with debut trailer and screens, races onto PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 in JuneWritten by: / / 7 Comments
Codemasters has a habit of releasing one racing game per year other than its official F1 tie-in so it should come as no surprise that the developer has lifted the lid on GRID Autosport – a new racer for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 that will be released on June 27th.
According to Codemasters the game is inspired by common requests and complaints from its core community and will include a more authentic handling model that’s closer to simulation than the original GRID. Other new features include two different in-car camera views and five distinct disciplines including Touring, Endurance, Open Wheel, Tuner and Street.
GRID Autosport will also feature twenty-two locations and a combined route list totalling over one hundred. Codemasters says that the game’s tracks are primarily circuit-based so expect to see some familiar sights if you’ve played recent entries in the developer’s F1 series.
Just like GRID 2 before it, the game will include a career mode where you work your way up the ranks as a professional racing driver by fulfilling sponsor deals and beating rivals. You can also play through career mode with an AI teammate who will attack the cars ahead or defend their position with a single button press.
Here’s the debut trailer for GRID Autosport along with some screens for the PC version:
