6 hours of PlayStation Network maintenance scheduled for Easter MondayWritten by: / / 5 Comments
Sony has announced that the next round of scheduled PSN maintenance will kick off this coming Monday, April 21st.
The maintenance window extends for around six hours from 4:50pm GMT (6:50pm South African time) until 10:50pm on Monday, and will affect PS4, PS3, PS Vita and PSP owners.
The following services will be inaccessible during the maintenance window:
- PlayStation Store
- PlayStation Home
- Account Management
- Account Registration
- Transactions via the console
- sonyentertainmentnetwork.com website
Users may still be able to sign into their PSN account during the maintenance window provided they have logged into the network any time since April 16th.
Additionally, users can sign into PSN before the maintenance begins at 4:50pm GMT on Monday if they want to play online during the downtime.
Sony recently shared new details regarding the PlayStation 4’s upcoming 1.70 firmware update so it’s likely that one of the functions of this latest round of maintenance is to prepare the Network for this imminent system software patch.
