H33rsay is El33tonline’s round-up of game industry rumours and speculation where we have looks at unconfirmed and unannounced pieces of news emerging from anonymous tipsters, information leaks and generally dubious sources. It may not all be true, but it’s still fun to talk about!

In January a “well-placed source” told Eurogamer that Sony is working on PSone and PS2 support for the PS4 via a local software emulation solution that can upgrade older games’ visuals to an HD resolution.

Now Sony tipster Ahsan Rasheed has added further credence to this report via the following Tweets that appear to be based on information gleaned during GDC 2014:

Rasheed’s second tweet suggests that the rumoured emulator is still in an early phase of testing and is therefore a few months away at best. Hopefully Sony will run some sort of beta that will give fans of classic PlayStation titles from yesteryear a chance to play them in native HD on their PS4s.

Which PSone or PS2 game would you opt to play on PS4 first given the opportunity? Let us know in the comments.
