PlayStation-exclusive Watch Dogs content announced with hardware bundles on the wayWritten by: / / No Comments
Ubisoft and Sony have just announced a partnership deal that will see exclusive content becoming available for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 versions of Watch Dogs later this year, with Watch Dogs hardware bundles planned, too.
With the launch of Watch Dogs in May this year, the PS3 and PS4 versions of Ubisoft’s upcoming open-world action adventure game will enjoy the addition of an extra hour of gameplay comprising four new missions, along with a unique ‘White Hat’ Hacker outfit for owners of Sony’s consoles. “By playing this additional content,” Ubisoft writes, “players will have a deeper knowledge of DedSec, a key and powerful faction in the Watch_Dogs universe.”
“Once complete,” Ubisoft continues, “a Hacking Boost named Superior Capacity is acquired which gives players one additional Battery Slot.”
Who Watches the Watch Dogs?
The new content takes place after protagonist Aiden Pearce becomes noticed by DedSec, an entity that Ubisoft describes as “a notorious hacker group fighting for freedom and security in the digital age.” After receiving an encoded message asking for help, Pearce chooses to side with DedSec and use his intricate knowledge of Chicago’s advanced security network, ctOS, in order to find vulnerabilities and ultimately earn a reward.

Watch Dogs is out on May 27th around the world on PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, while the Wii U version of the game will release “at a later date” – are you back on board after an extended period of silence following the game’s delay last year?
