Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us recently made the news after picking up a whopping five BAFTA Games Awards at last week’s ceremony held in London, once again recognising the incredible action adventure game for pushing the boundaries of cinematic and interactive story-telling in videogames.

Before that, however, those who enjoyed The Last of Us were treated to an amazing piece of story-based downloadable content, Left Behind, which Naughty Dog says is the highest rated PS3 DLC ever.

It seems as though the studio has been rewarded for its work on the game because the team recently announced The Last of Us has sold over six million units worldwide.

The news came as part of an announcement of Naughty Dog’s lectures at this week’s Game Developer’s Conference in San Francisco, where they intend to discuss “some of the techniques and process that went into making The Last of Us, […] as well as what made Left Behind, our first ever downloadable, single player story chapter, so unique.”

It should be very interesting to hear what makes The Last of Us tick this week.

Have you played The Last of Us yet? What did you think of Left Behind?
