Following on from the new combat-focused trailer and screens released for Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD Remaster earlier this week, Square Enix has shared a CGI sequence from the opening hour of FFX where we see the game’s hero Tidus engaged in a blitzball match that quickly takes a turn for the worse after a mysterious entity known as Sin attacks the bustling seaside metropolis of Zanarkand.
Although Final Fantasy X contains many more CGI cutscenes than FFX-2, the pre-rendered sequences in both games are of equal quality since they were created by Square Enix’s Visual Works studio who are behind the stunning CGI in other titles from the developer including Kingdom Hearts II and Parasite Eve II.
