Towerfall Ascension aiming for release on PS4 in Europe next weekWritten by: / / 3 Comments
What was once an Ouya-exclusive local multiplayer game (and arguably the best game on the diminutive console) is now available on PC as well as PlayStation 4 in North America in the form of Towerfall Ascension – but what about European territories?
The latest European PlayStation Store update has come and gone with a host of interesting new content to explore, but Towerfall Ascension was unfortunately not amongst the lists of digital delights. When can European PS4 owners expect to see what creator Matt Thorson calls “a 4-player archery combat platformer?”
Over at the European PlayStation Blog, Jawad Ashraf from the PS Store team has told site visitors that the they’re trying to get the PS4 version of Towerfall out to everyone soon, writing: “We’re hoping to get this out ASAP. Aiming for next Wednesday.”
That’s March 19th for anyone keeping score.
Further down the comments, PS Blog contributor Fred Dutton provided an explanation for the release delay between regions, writing:
“Unfortunately, the EU version was submitted later than the North American version. It’s racing through QA now and we’re hoping to have it out next week. We’ll confirm that asap.”
In the meantime, though, we can all enjoy the launch trailer for Towerfall Ascension below while finding out what’s new in this version of the game over here.
