Mercenary Kings dated for PS4Written by: / / 3 Comments
Mercenary Kings was released on Steam Early Access in July last year and many people cited its run-and-gun action, retro graphics and emphasis on customisable weapons as being reminiscent of the Metal Slug and Borderlands series. Now developer Tribute Games has announced that Mercenary Kings will blast its way onto PS4 via the PlayStation Store on April 1st in North America and April 2nd in European territories.
Pricing details haven’t been announced as yet and there’s also no word whether or not the game will be next month’s PlayStation Plus freebie for PS4. However, Tributes Games did confirm that Mercenary Kings supports up to four-player co-op either locally or online, and the game’s weapon set includes over 300 gun parts and more than 100 knives.
Here’s the official synopsis for Mercenary Kings along with the latest trailer for the game:
“In this action-packed adventure, you must choose between Empress and King, two members of the elite squad known as the Mercenary Kings! Dropped on Mandragora Island, you’re tasked with one mission: rescue the brilliant Dr. James Neil from the forces of C.L.A.W. (Cyber Loyalist Active Weapons) and prevent them from using the Mandrake Formula to conquer the globe.”
