CounterSpy announced for PS4 with stylised espionage action showcased in new trailerWritten by: / / 3 Comments
Independent developer Dynamighty has today taken the wraps off of the PlayStation 4 version of the studio’s in-development stealth-action espionage game, CounterSpy, in addition to the already announced PlayStation 3, PS Vita and mobile versions of the title.
Writing on the PlayStation Blog, creative director David Nottingham says that when the team partnered with Sony to bring CounterSpy to PS3 and PS Vita, “the PlayStation 4 was but a fantastical dream of uber console heaven somewhere off in the near future,” but after working in secret for many months the team is now ready to answer “a steady stream of requests” about a PS4 version of the game:
“We have been excitedly opening up the hood of our new PlayStation 4 dev kits,” Nottingham wrote. “I think the extra power of PlayStation 4 is going to open up some really nice possibilities for us. At the same time, we remain super committed to the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita platforms (the game is looking great on both those platforms) as well as mobile.”

Nottingham says that Dynamighty will include the ability to link mobile versions of CounterSpy with the PS4, PS3 and even PS Vita to share your progress across all devices. “Certain intelligence that you gather gets shared across the devices,” says Nottingham, “so that for example, you can unlock weapons on your console that are then available on your mobile device.”
