Guerrilla Games has announced that the multiplayer portion of its PS4 launch title Killzone: Shadow Fall will be free to play between 11pm GMT today, March 3rd and 11pm on March 11th. PlayStation Plus isn’t required to play the free access client during this period and the 13GB client can already be downloaded from the PlayStation Store to ensure that you’re ready to jump into the action as soon as the servers open up to everyone.

This free multiplayer access week is designed to promote and celebrate Killzone: Shadow Fall’s first free map update and Guerrilla Games says that it is prepping special Warzones to go along with the new maps. In addition, all clans (including trial players) will be eligible for prizes in the Clan Community Challenge that will run during the free access week, and top Killzone: Shadow Fall players will also be streaming Clan Battles during this period.
