New MLB 14: The Show video explains optional features Quick Counts and Player LockWritten by: / / No Comments
Sony San Diego Studio has always prided itself on introducing significant new features with each instalment of its MLB: The Show series, and this year’s version looks set to give players even more ways to enjoy a game of virtual baseball. MLB 14: The Show features two new options called Quick Counts and Player Lock that are designed to expedite games in all modes apart from Road to the Show.
Quick Counts use an algorithm to generate the number of balls and strikes a batter already has when you initially take control of him, whereas Player Lock allows you to assume the role of only one player during a game. Sony San Diego Studio reckon that you’ll be able to play a full game in as little as 10 minutes using Player Lock, while games with Quick Counts and Fast Play presentation turned on can be completed in around 30 minutes.
Here’s a video explaining these two optional features in more detail:
MLB 14: The Show will be released for PS3 and PS Vita on April 1st in North America, and for PS4 sometime during May. Head over here for El33tonline’s previous coverage of the latest entry in this award-winning baseball series.
