New Wii U system update now available

The next time you turn on your Wii U you’ll be prompted to download firmware update 4.0.3E which Nintendo claims will further improve “overall system stability” and “enhance the user experience” via some “minor adjustments”.

This new firmware is the second minor update the Wii U has received since the console’s system software was updated to version 4.0 last October. One of the major new features introduced in firmware 4.0 is the ability to display Wii titles on the Wii U’s GamePad, although fans are still waiting for Nintendo to release a patch that will enable them to use the GamePad as a controller when playing Wii titles that aren’t reliant on the Wiimote.
