Four new Persona games confirmed for North America, teaser trailers and screens insideWritten by: / / No Comments
The Persona franchise has gained major traction in the West over the past decade and Atlus USA recently provided compelling evidence of this fact by announcing that no less than four Persona titles are headed to North America over the next two years.
The most significant of these is Persona 5 which was originally announced in November last year. This PS3 exclusive is due for release in the West during 2015 and series director Katsura Hashino previously hinted that its storyline will be about throwing off the chains of oppression to find one’s true self.
The other three Persona games on the horizon draw on characters and events from Persona 3 and 4 for their inspiration. The first of these, Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth, is due this Fall exclusively on 3DS and features gameplay and visuals inspired by Atlus’ own Etrian Odyssey series.
Also due this Fall is Persona 4 Arena Ultimax for PS3 and Xbox 360. This sequel developed by Arc System Works will feature an all-new storyline and new characters, along with a few twists on the first game’s fighting formula.
Lastly, Persona 4: Dancing All Night is an upcoming rhythm game co-developed by Atlus and the studio behind the Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA titles on PSP, Dingo Inc.. Dancing All Night is headed to PS Vita next year and features stylish cel-shaded graphics reminiscent of Catherine.
