El33t’s Pre-W33kend Post: Rain drops, workshops and platform hopsWritten by: / / 1 Comment
Don’t know about your neck of the woods, but here is Durban the weather has changed dramatically from stifling humidity and rich blue skies, to… the complete opposite. The rain has been drizzling, pouring and dripping down and our corner of the Earth has thankfully been cooled down a bit.
With rain on our heads and gaming in our hearts, it’s almost time to tackle a new weekend with thoughts of the kinds of activities we’ll be keeping ourselves busy with tonight and over the next two days. We’ve got some pretty good ideas, but what about you?
Let’s find out what members of El33tonline have planned and maybe we’ll spark something in your brain.
“Tonight my wife and I will be hosting something of a cosplay workshop at our house as it seems some members of the Durban cosplay community could use a few sewing tips from Corrie.
We also have some free tickets to get into uShaka so hopefully there’s a nice sunny day embedded somewhere in the weekend so we can go for a slide.
I’ve currently got my hands full with two lengthy RPGs – Ys: Memories of Celceta and Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII – so I’m sure those will keep me busy over the break.
Take it easy p33ps and stay safe!”
“It is w33kend time again and I am super excited about this one. Why, because I got some awesome games to play this w33kend.
I will firstly start with Battlefield 4 tonight. Hopefully my ADSL line won’t give me too many hassles. Then tomorrow after I have painted the kitchen, I will be playing some Gears of War 2 co-op on Insane. Then there will be some Portal 2 co-op.
After all that, I will see if I can’t play some more Halo: Spartan Assault. I am also a Tester for an awesome Mobile game (which I will reveal later on), so I will be playing that too. Then I will also spend some time with Sam & Max Season 1. I will then finish off the w33kend with some family time and maybe a movie or two.
Have a great w33kend p33ps and enjoy every second of it. I will leave you with this final question: What did the Fox say?”
“Work is hell at the moment. Therefore weekend will be work, kids and hopefully some gaming.
Lots of love.”
“Another Friday is upon us and the year 2014 is in full gear. Super Rugby has begun and I am looking ahead to the trail of destruction that the Sharks will leave behind as they surge to the championship.
My download of World of Tanks has almost completed (that’s the longest “80MB” download I’ve ever had, even when I ran 56K) and I am arranging a bit of “mild violence” tonight with whomever wants to join in – I know Oltman will be there and I look forward to being his tank commander.
Otherwise, the usual busy weekend with family commitments all over the greater Durban area so my petrol bill will skyrocket and my gaming time will plummet. All the part of being a great human being, I guess.”
“What a dreary start to the weekend, although I’m not going to lie: I’ve been waiting for the rain all week! The heat and humidity of Durban has been a worthy adversary over the last few days but I’m more than happy to get a little help.
Rain on the weekend means only one thing: Loads of game time! My eldest brother has put together an arcade cabinet and now it’s finally time to put it to the test, but I’ve also got Strider to play and a decision over a video card to make – PC gaming, if you haven’t already been clued in, is expensive!
Try to avoid the rain drops this weekend, everybody, and I hope you all have a great time!”
