Play a game of spot the difference with official Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes comparison videoWritten by: / / 25 Comments
Following on from Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes’ comparison screens which Kojima Productions published earlier this week, the developer has released a video highlighting the differences between all four consoles versions of this highly anticipated prologue chapter.
As was previously confirmed, the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game run at 30 frames per second while the new-gen builds run at 60fps. Meanwhile, MGSV: GZ on PS4 is the only version which runs at 1080p.
As you can see in the video below, the texture quality is higher in the new-gen versions and the overall crispness of the image is naturally better on more powerful hardware. However, Kojima Productions’ in-house Fox Engine was designed with cross-platform development in mind so it’s not like the level geometry is simplified for the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game.
Here’s the comparison video (you can download the 60fps version from GameTrailers):
Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes will be released for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One on March 18th in North America and March 20th in European territories. Head over here for El33tonline’s previous coverage of this prologue to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.
