Kojima Productions’ Fox Engine was designed with cross-platform development in mind and therefore it’s no surprise that the studio’s upcoming release Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes spans four consoles – PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. With this in mind, the developer recently unveiled a collection of comparison screens juxtaposing the old and new gen versions of the game across both daytime and night missions.
The website featuring these comparison screens also confirms each version’s resolution and frames per second, with the PS3 and Xbox 360 builds running at 30fps and the new-gen versions running at 60fps. Surprisingly, Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes on Xbox One runs at the same resolution as the old-gen versions – 720p – while the 1080p PS4 build boasts more than twice the number of pixels as its new-gen counterpart.
