Where is the planned Xbox One February update?

Earlier in February, Microsoft was pleased to announce a new firmware update for Xbox One that would add a selection of much-requested features, including a battery level indicator for the controller, the ability to use your USB keyboard with your Xbox One, as well as hard-drive storage management – features that most would agree should really have been included with the shipping product.

This firmware update was planned for release on February 11th, but as that date came and went, Microsoft claimed it would become available later in the week. Days later, the update isn’t available with no release in sight. So where is it?

Xbox frontman Major Nelson decided to update fans on the status of the firmware update, writing on Reddit:

“I don’t have all the details. Things are moving quickly and all the teams are working extra hard. I don’t really like giving dates either. Too risky.”

Another Xbox One firmware update is expected in March, with the Microsoft engineering team aiming to get that hardware patch out before the launch of Titanfall over the week of March 11th, but with this latest update slipping, can we expect that to arrive on time?
