The God of War Collection was one of a handful of PS Vita games announced all the way back at Sony’s E3 2013 press conference. Sadly it missed out on being released during the busy holiday season and Sony has now confirmed that this compilation will be released as both a packaged and digital product on May 6th in the US and May 8th in European territories, with pricing details to be confirmed at a later date.

The PS Vita version of the God of War Collection features remastered graphics, Trophy support along with touchscreen and dual analog controls. Fans of the God of War games released for PSP will no doubt appreciate the ability to roll using the right analog stick since you needed to press a shoulder button along with the left analog stick to roll out of harm’s way on Sony’s previous handheld.

Here are some screens for the God of War Collection along with the compilation’s box art for North America and Europe:

The God of War Collection was originally released for PS3 in 2009. It features remastered versions of the PS2 classics God of War and God of War II which were developed by Sony Santa Monica.
