Goat Simulator is now real, debut trailer introduces us to the madnessWritten by: / / 8 Comments
What started out as a game jam project by Coffee Stain Studios has now ramped up to become a real production, because Goat Simulator has been formally announced for release with a pre-order trailer… and everything!
Goat Simulator is described as “an old school skating game, except instead of being a skater, you’re a goat, and instead of doing tricks, you wreck stuff,” and while Coffee Stain aims to polish up the game for release on Steam, the team will “keep the funny bugs” and retain the core “silly” gameplay, with plans to allow players to edit their own levels for the game, too.
The developer offered a disclaimer before pre-ordering, writing:
“Goat Simulator is a small, broken and stupid game. I t was made in a couple of weeks so don’t expect a game in the size and scope of GTA with goats. In fact, you’re better off not expecting anything at all actually. To be completely honest, it would be best if you’d spend your $10 on a hula hoop, a pile of bricks, or maybe a real-life goat.”
Make of that what you will.
With a release window of ‘Spring’ 2014, check out the debut trailer for Goat Simulator below and pre-order over here if it appeals:
