Despite the PS Vita Slim launching in the UK on February 7th, there’s still no word as to when the revised handheld will be officially released in North America. That said, Sony Computer Entertainment America recently unveiled a limited edition Borderlands 2 PS Vita bundle which includes the new model along with a 8GB memory card and six DLC packs released for the game. These complimentary add-ons and expansions include Captain Scarlett and her Pirate’s Booty, Mr. Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage, the Psycho Character Class, Mechromancer Character Class, Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 1, and Collector’s Edition Pack.

The bundle will retail for $199.99 when it’s released this spring and one would expect the PS Vita Slim to land in stores shortly thereafter. The new model comes with WiFi, 1GB of internal memory and a LCD screen which reportedly gives the system around an hour of extra battery life compared to the original model. It is also 20 percent thinner and 15 percent lighter than the launch PS Vita.

Borderlands 2 on PS Vita supports Cross-Save with the PS3 version and four person cooperative multiplayer via the PlayStation Network. The game also makes use of the handheld’s touchscreen and rear touchpad so you can easily zoom and pan on maps, inspect items, or manage your inventory.
