Is Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes only 2 hours long?Written by: / / 3 Comments
There’s not long to go until we get to see the latest entry to the epic Metal Gear Solid saga – releasing on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 next month, Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes will be our re-introduction to the classic stealth ‘em up espionage action that has been missing from our gaming diet for so long, before the release of Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain at some (undisclosed) point in the far-flung future.
It sounds as though Ground Zeroes will be earning its budget-price, however, because according to a report in the latest Game Informer magazine, the game’s core story and missions will only take you two hours to complete. From the magazine:
“Judged just by the core story mission, Ground Zeroes is short. We completed it in just less than two hours.”
This doesn’t account for any of the side missions, but in the four hours that Game Informer was given to play Ground Zeroes, it’s a little disheartening to hear that the game can be wrapped up with time left to tinker with extra game modes.
How much will you be paying for Ground Zeroes when it’s out on March 18th in the US and March 21st everywhere else? As previously revealed, the game will be available for $30 / £30 at retail on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 and $20 / £20 as digital downloads, but $40 / £40 at retail on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and $30 / £30 as digital downloads on the new generation consoles.
Will you be picking up Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes at launch next month, or holding off on the purchase with this news?
