You’re not the only Dragonborn… Skyrim reaches 20 million units sold

Contrary to what you might have been told, it turns out that you weren’t the only Draonborn in Skyrim, and the legend of the rare warrior’s return throughout the centuries of the game’s achingly epic story might have been twisted a little to make you feel special in the world, because there have been at least 20 million others roaming the land…

This according to developer Bethesda Softworks, which recently announced that the studio’s incredible open-world RPG, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, has sold 20 million units across all platforms since it became available in November 2011.

It’s been a while since then but it’s still good to catch up with one of the most impressive games released on the last generation of consoles, and the news immediately made me reach for Youtube in search of the goosebump tingling, hair-raising announcement trailer. To save you the effort, I’ve included it below:

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – Official Trailer

The announcement of Skyrim’s continued sales success arrives ahead of the launch of The Elder Scrolls: Online, which is out on April 4th on PC and Mac, as well as PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in June.

Catch up with the game with El33tonline’s previous and continued coverage, as well as our hands-on preview from gamescom 2013.
