PS Vita Slim arrives in UK on February 7th, will replace original modelWritten by: / / 6 Comments
When the PS Vita 2000 was released in Japan last October many of us wondered when it would make its way to the West. Now Sony has answered this question by announcing that the ‘PS Vita Slim’ will be released in the UK on February 7th for a recommended retail price of £180.
Unlike the Japanese model which came in six different colour variations, the PS Vita Slim will initially only be available in black in the UK. The new model will replace the original PS Vita as stock is exhausted.
The PS Vita Slim comes with WiFi, 1GB of internal memory and a LCD screen which reportedly gives the system around an hour of extra battery life compared to the original model. It is also 20 percent thinner and 15 percent lighter than the launch PS Vita.
Do you think the PS Vita Slim will improve sales of the struggling handheld despite it only being available in black and selling for a bit more than the original model? Let us know in the comments.
