H33rsay is El33tonline’s round-up of game industry rumours and speculation where we have looks at unconfirmed and unannounced pieces of news emerging from anonymous tipsters, information leaks and generally dubious sources. It may not all be true, but it’s still fun to talk about!

It’s time to grab a handful of salt because a deluge of rumours have emerged recently, originating from what many believe to be a knowledgeable and trusted source.

Posting on NeoGAF, user ‘ntkrnl’ has posted a collection of morsels that are both exciting and distressing, the first piece of which pointed to the release of Halo 2: Anniversary Edition on Xbox One on November 11th.

According to ntkrnl, the second Anniversary Edition in the Halo series has once again been contracted out to Saber Interactive and Certain Affinity. A purchase of Halo 2: Anniversary Edition will gain you access to the beta for the Xbox One version of Halo, which 343 Industries is currently working on. Previously confirmed for release later in 2014, ntkrnl says that 343’s Halo has been delayed into 2015.

Game Launch Windows

In addition, ntkrnl claims that Crackdown 3 is indeed in development under the codename of Nimbus, which has been marked with a 2016 launch window, while a new Forza Horizon may be out in 2014.

Moving on to confirmed Xbox One titles, ntkrnl says that Fable Legends is due out in the Summer of 2015, while Quantum Break and Sunset Overdrive (which will receive its own controller) are out in the Fall of 2014.

Xbox One Launch Windows and New SKUs

As far as the launch timings for Xbox One in regions that haven’t received the console yet, ntkrnl also provided his/her thoughts on when Xbox One-less countries could expect the console – according to the tipster, here is where Xbox One will launch in April, 2014:

Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Russia, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Colombia, Chile, Argentina.

and then in October, 2014:

China, Poland, Czech Repub., Hungary, Greece, Portugal Slovakia, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, United Arab Emirates, Israel, India, Indonesia, Egypt.

The last of the rumours concerns a 1TB hard-drive for Xbox One, which Microsoft will start offering from November this year, along with a white version of the Xbox One.

As always, H33rsay reports don’t contain confirmed or formally announced information, but the details that ntkrnl has been spreading makes a lot of sense insofar as they are understandable, logical leaps.

What do you think of the rumours? Have you been looking forward to another Anniversary Edition for a Halo game, or would you prefer to play a brand new Halo in 2014 on Xbox One?
