Titanfall post-release DLC confirmed, sales expectations are conservativeWritten by: / / No Comments
No modern-day game can be planned and developed without it, and we certainly expected it, but in a recent investor earnings call EA has confirmed that there will indeed be post-release downloadable content for Titanfall.
EA’s CEO Andrew Wilson said that “We’re planning extra content already for the product, but in the nature of the live service, I think that that will evolve over time as we see how the player base evolves through the year.”
No details were provided on what kind of DLC is planned for Titanfall, but we can probably expect additional multiplayer maps and customisation options.
In addition, and despite Titanfall remaining one of the most anticipated games of 2014, EA is being conservative over sales of the game based on the fact that it will be limited to Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
Titanfall is out on Xbox One, PC and Xbox 360 on March 11th in North America, March 13th in Europe and March 14th in the UK.
A beta test for Xbox One and PC has also been announced.
