One of the most successful Japanese games of 2013 was Monster Hunter 4 despite it only releasing in its native country. Now Capcom has announced that an expanded version of this action RPG, Monster Hunter 4G, will be released in Japan this autumn exclusively for the 3DS, with players being able to transfer their save files between the original and new version.
Most exciting of all for those of us outside of Japan is that the game will be released in Western territories in early 2015 under the name Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. Here’s a video message for fans from the game’s producer, Ryozo Tsujimoto, along with Monster Hunter 4G’s debut trailer teasing a new desert area:
