Here’s a Question of the Day inspired by a tweet by reader Sahil Lala, who wrote:
Just pre-ordered Dark Souls 2. Why are games so expensive again ? 🙁 Feels like 2008 all over again~

In South Africa at least, game prices seem to have settled at an incredible R700 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 games, while the price of a PlayStation 4 game is regularly well in excess of that price with new releases heading north of R800.
Have you been noticing the price increases and have they affected your game buying habits recently? Have you had to rethink the games you plan on buying in the coming months or are there titles that you will pick up no matter what?
Has your backlog of games been getting more attention as a result or has that particular monster continued to grow with PlayStation Plus and game sales over the holidays?
