Thief PC requirements revealed

With Eidos Montreal’s Thief reboot just over a month away, many fans of this classic stealth series will be wondering if their PC needs an upgrade before diving into the shadowy environments of this Unreal Engine 3 powered title. The game’s system requirements were recently published on the developer’s community website and the good news is that fairly geriatric PCs will be able to run it, although you’ll need at least 4GB of RAM and 20GB of free space on your hard drive.

Here are Thief’s minimum and recommended requirements in full:

Minimum Requirements

  • OS: Windows Vista with platform update
  • CPU: High-performance dual core CPU or quad core CPU
  • Memory: 4GB
  • Video Card: AMD Radeon 4800 series / Nvidia GTS 250
  • DirectX: DirectX 10
  • Free Hard Drive Space: 20GB

Recommended Requirements

  • OS: Windows 7 or 8
  • CPU: AMD FX 8000 series or better / Intel i7 Quad Core CPU
  • Memory: > 4GB
  • Video Card: AMD Radeon HD / R9 series or better / Nvidia GTX 660 series or better
  • DirectX: DX11
  • Free Hard Drive Space: 20GB

Thief is scheduled to be released on the Xbox 360, PS3, Xbox One, PS4 and PC on February 25th in North America and February 28th in PAL territories.
