Want to play Titanfall before launch? Apply for the Alpha test on Xbox One and you just might

Despite the fact that the official Respawn Entertainment Twitter account is claiming that a beta test for the studio’s Titanfall hasn’t been announced, registrations details for an alpha test have shown up on the official website, with additional emails going out inviting participants to sign up.

I went through the sign-up details and got the following message:

“Your application to participate is complete. If you are selected to take part in our upcoming test, you will receive an email in the coming days with a unique code and instructions on how to download and access the game on Xbox One. Thank you!”

At first, the Titanfall test invitations were thought to be a scam, but with the details appearing on the site it seems as though the registrations process is legitimate. The test is currently only open to Xbox One owners, excluding Xbox 360 and PC players, while you’ll need an Origin account to apply for the test.

Will you be signing up?

Titanfall is out on Xbox One, PC and Xbox 360 on March 11th in North America, March 13th in Europe and March 14th in the UK.
