First pair of free Killzone: Shadow Fall multiplayer maps revealedWritten by: / / 1 Comment
Before Killzone: Shadow Fall was released last November it was announced that the game would be getting free multiplayer maps post-launch. Now Guerrilla Games has lifted the lid on the first pair of complimentary DLC maps inspired by memorable locations from Killzone: Shadow Fall’s single-player campaign.
The two free maps, The Cruiser and The Hangar, will be fully compatible with the game’s Custom Warzone feature and are just the tip of the iceberg in terms of what Guerrilla Games has in store for players from a DLC perspective. The first of these maps is described as a “close-to-mid-range combat map set in the confines of a decommissioned ISA cruiser” consisting of “tight, claustrophobic corridors and interconnected compartments”, while The Hangar is a “wide-open map situated in the hangar bay of one of Helghan’s humongous mining spires.” According to the developer, this map’s main area serves up “long lines of sight suitable for sniping” while also offering “alternative routes that will need to be secured for full control”.
Here’s a brief glimpse at each map, neither of which has been dated as yet:
