The PSone Imports section of the PlayStation Store may not be a frequently visited location but being able to download and play arcade-like Japanese titles which were never officially released in the West is still an appealing prospect for many gamers.

MonkeyPaw Games specialises in bringing these types of retro experiences to consumers and the publisher recently took to the PlayStation Blog to announce that six new PSone Imports are headed to the US PlayStation Store over the next five weeks.

More information about each game will be shared closer to their respective launch dates, with today’s release Double Dragon apparently being a fighting game based a movie by the same name screened in 1994. The game features a roster of twelve sprite-based characters such as Billy, Abobo and Marian along with special charge moves and transformations for each fighter.

Here’s the full schedule of PSone Imports headed our way soon:

• January 14th – Double Dragon ($5.99)
• January 21st – Lucifer Ring ($5.99)
• January 28th – The Firemen 2: Pete and Danny ($5.99)
• February 4th – Hyper Crazy Climber ($5.99)
• February 11th – Wolf Fang ($5.99)
• February 18th – Tomba! 2: The Evil Swine Return ($9.99)
